My name is Annette Stinson and I live in Trussville, Alabama. I have been married for almost 32 years to Mac Stinson. We have two sons, Wesley who is 30 and Joshua who is 27. Wesley has a son, River who is 8 years old.
The purpose of this site to provide uplifting post for women and men as they try to walk through this life as a Christian who wants a relationship with our Lord. I have a Ph.D in Biblical Counseling from Trinity College of the Bible and Seminary online in Evansville, Indiana. I am a certified Biblical Counselor through ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors).
In 2003 my husband was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease at the age of 42. My mother died in 2007 of brain cancer. Mac had to retire from practicing medicine in 2009. Those were painful years and we were trying to raise our children at the time. My mother and father in-law sponsored me for the Emmaus Walk in Alabama sometime during that time. During that weekend the Lord spoke to me a lot. He healed a lot of hurts and I left knowing that He had a calling on my life. After talking to my pastor and others and for an answer to exactly what that calling was, I found biblical counseling. I have no doubt that God has called me to do biblical counseling and I have seen Him do miracles in people’s lives. I have no doubt that I have found my calling.
I do Biblical Counseling currently at The Gathering Place in Moody, Alabama. I hope you can enjoy some of the posts on this blog and find them uplifting. These are lessons I have learned over the last 10 years or more.
